Since the end of last year, Amazon has bundled all of its advertising offers under the umbrella of Amazon Advertising, which offers sellers various formats for increasing product visibility. Within Amazon Advertising, it is possible to advertise product listings, promote brand stores or display campaigns via Amazon's own DSP (Demand Side Platform). A minimum investment of 10K Euro is required to access the DSP.

These formats include product-specific ads as well as brand ads (previously known as featured text ads). These formats allow the user to be impacted at the precise moment when they are searching for a product, so marketers can match products or brands with the search keywords that the potential buyer is using.

If our brand has an attractive store and we combine it with a promoted ad campaign, we will be able to protect our brand and lose as few clicks as possible on products that are for sale on third-party accounts. How to activate a promoted ad campaign?

  1. Go to the advertisement tab in the Seller Account
  2. Choosing the brand or product to promote
  3. Choose the keywords, related products and categories you want to impact.

Once the campaign is active, Amazon will charge only for performance, i.e. each time a person clicks on the ads, regardless of whether the person has closed the purchase or not. This is why it is important to be relevant to the keywords and categories you have chosen in the initial setup.

It is essential to monitor the results of the campaign, this is the key to success. Verify opportunities, modify bids, add keywords related to those that have a better performance and stop what is not giving optimal results.

Through Amazon Display campaigns we can impact the user through different creative formats that will be activated according to the audiences that we have defined in the set-up of the campaign. Amazon provides the seller with different placements - Amazon marketplace, mobile applications, Amazon devices and third-party websites - that allow us to impact the user in an omnichannel way.
