A few weeks ago I bought a jacket from a well-known brand online. Instead of the jacket, I received sunglasses from another well-known brand, which don't look very authentic. It was probably a mistake at the logistics centre. It's true that the website where I bought them didn't give me much confidence, but for once I decided to take a chance. Mea culpa. The result has been a disaster. I still haven't managed to get the glasses picked up and the jacket sent to me.
After this, I will probably buy less from Amazon. Amazon's logistics and efficiency is light years ahead of any other provider. From the payment gateway, to the logistics system, to returns, etc. Never a problem. In the last three months I have purchased 32 items. In my defence, I'm moving house :-). I don't usually buy that much.
Despite Amazon's magic, there are still people who are very critical of the company. Above all, those who do not understand that Amazon is a Marketplace where any manufacturer or distributor can sell. The local brands that sell in the most developed markets for Amazon, such as the UK or Germany, are close to 50%. In Italy, France and Spain they are around 20%. Since the beginning of 2017, more than 4.5 million new sellers have been added to Amazon, 1.3 million of them in 2020 and the numbers just keep going on. Amazon continues to add 3500 new sellers every day.
